The St. Andrew’s School Library 2007
MDA provided library planning and interior design services to guide the renovation of the campus library, the heart of student and faculty research and collaborative activity on the school’s beautifully landscaped campus in Middletown, Delaware. The Library is situated with a commanding lakefront view; MDA’s redesign opened up the spaces along the lakeside creating welcoming study alcoves for library users. The presence of technology was increased throughout as were choices for a variety of seating and study environments. Functional improvements such as the increase in internet carrels for faculty and students, new study rooms, and a new archival office for the preservation of valued campus documents were among the changes integrated into the space.
